The Blue Power IP22 Charger series of impulse chargers is one of the latest generation of high-performance devices. It is a reliable, powerful unit with a very high level of protection. Can be used to restore the capacity of lead-acid, AGM, gel, EFB and lithium-ion batteries 24V.
The built-in Bluetooth module allows you to monitor the parameters of the device and the state of the rechargeable battery from the mobile device during operation. You can also adjust the settings of the unit remotely using the dedicated mobile application VictronConnect.
Adaptive 6-step charge algorithm
Blue Power IP22 has a built-in intelligent microprocessor, it is used to manage all battery recovery processes. The device can automatically adjust the operating parameters based on the current technical condition and operating mode of the rechargeable battery. There is a built-in temperature sensor.
There are 6 charge modes available:
Charge/test
This is the very first stage in which the memory determines the actual technical condition and the ability of the battery to accept charge.
Filling
Capacity recovery mode using maximum charging current. It will last until the battery reaches the maximum absorption voltage (charging level of about 80%).
Absorption
At this stage, the device gradually goes into a mode in which the voltage is fixed, and the charging current slowly decreases. This method allows you to restore the battery to 100%.
Recovery
Used for heavily discharged or sulphated batteries. The process involves the use of small currents that “train” the battery and allow it to gradually return to working condition, eliminating the negative effects of deep discharge or sulphation. As soon as the voltage at the battery terminals reaches the nominal value, the device automatically switches to the standard charging mode.
Floating
Used to maintain the battery after a full recovery cycle in a charged state. The device enters this mode automatically.
Storage
You can use this mode if you need long-term storage of batteries. To maintain charge and prevent active gassing, the charger at this stage works with a low voltage value. However, once a week the device automatically activates the absorption mode for an hour.
Recharge lithium-ion battery
This type of battery is charged using three standard modes in the following order: filling — absorption — floating.
