Victron Energy offers the Blue Smart IP22 Charger, a series of new smart chargers. This is a professional, fully automatic devices with integrated Bluetooth module. With it, you can connect to the unit remotely from mobile devices and monitor all stages of its operation. The company also developed a special mobile application, VictronConnect, which is used to quickly and easily set up performance indicators in the charging process.

This charger is suitable for use with all types of batteries: lead-acid, AGM, gel, EFB and Li-ion.

6-speed charge

Chargers of this type are equipped with a modern intelligent microprocessor, which provides flexible and adaptive control of the settings and working functions of the device. When the battery is connected to the battery, it first diagnoses the operating state, then automatically determines the optimal conditions and modes for fully recovering the battery (the device has 6 available charging modes). All this happens without user intervention, which simplifies operation and facilitates work with the charger.

The device has the following operating modes:

Charge/test

In this mode, diagnostics are performed, the device determines the overall technical condition and the battery's ability to accept charge.

Filling

At this stage, the battery is recharged using maximum current until the absorption voltage is reached (the battery is 80% charged).

The device switches to charge mode with a constant voltage value. The current gradually decreases. Charging is up to 100% recovery capacity.

Restore

In this mode, heavily discharged and sulphated starter batteries return to working condition. The process involves the use of small currents.

Floating

This mode assumes voltage stabilization at which the battery is maintained in a charged state.

Storage

The mode can be used for long-term battery storage. At this stage, the device delivers a reduced fixed voltage to the battery, this allows not only to keep the charge, but also to reduce the likelihood of corrosion and gassing. At the same time, the device once a week activates an automatic absorption mode for an hour.

Battery Desulphation and Recovery

Used to return automotive batteries that have undergone sulphation or have been discharged during operation. With it, you can significantly extend the life of the power source. The duration of the process depends on the degree of sulfation of the power source, as a rule, it takes at least one day.

Recharge Li-ion batteries

These batteries are very demanding for chargers, in order to restore them you must go through three successive stages: filling — absorption — floating.
