The Blue Power IP22 Charger is an excellent device that ensures efficient and safe battery recovery. It belongs to the professional devices of the last generation.

Victron Energy is a Dutch brand that offers a large selection of productive, reliable and safe car battery chargers.

This charger charges 24 volt batteries. It is compatible with different types of power sources, including lead-acid, AGM, gel, EFB and lithium-ion.

Adaptive 6-step charge algorithm

Due to the presence of an embedded microprocessor, this device is able to adjust its parameters automatically. The device adjusts the current strength and voltage, taking into account the state of the battery connected to it, choosing the optimal parameters for its restoration. There is also a built-in temperature sensor.

There are 6 main charge modes available:

Charge/test

A complete check of the working condition of the battery is carried out, whether it can receive a charge.

Filling

Capacity is restored by supplying the maximum current to the battery, the process continues until the absorption voltage is reached (approximately 80% of the charge).

Absorption

The battery is charged at a constant voltage value with a decreasing current level; the process continues until a full charge is reached.

Recovery

This mode is used when it is necessary to restore deeply discharged or sulphated batteries.

Floating

The mode of maintaining the level of charge, the charge is conducted with a limited voltage, the indicator is below the level of the absorption voltage.

Storage

It is used when safe storage of batteries is required. In order to maintain the charge, while avoiding corrosion and active gas formation, the charger uses a slightly lower voltage indicator, but once a week it automatically activates the absorption mode for an hour.

Recharge lithium-ion batteries

This type of battery requires a special approach. To ensure their recharging, the device must pass through three stages, in the following order: filling — absorption — floating.

Dead Battery Recovery

The process involves the use of small currents that “train” the battery and allow it to gradually return its nominal performance, eliminating the negative effects of deep discharge or sulphation. As soon as the voltage at the battery terminals reaches the nominal value, the device automatically switches to the standard charging mode.
