Master Watt automatic charger is suitable for charging batteries with a voltage of 12V and a current of 4A. Used to recharge AGM batteries, starters with liquid electrolyte, including calcined ones. Differs in rather big efficiency and speed of recharging. It has several levels of protection: from improper connection and short circuit, as well as high voltage in the network.
Features of device operation modes
The automatic charger works in two modes – «Charge» and «Desulfation». When using the first mode, the process of recharging the battery in two stages is performed – the charge with the maximum constant current and the saturation period.
The second stage involves the retention of the resulting voltage with a consistent decrease in current. The duration of this stage can calculated as follows: it is necessary to divide the battery capacity by 15, for example, for batteries with 60 Ah the saturation time is 4 hours. When this time is out, then it is necessary to switch the charger to the desulfation mode, if this is, of course, necessary.
The desulfation process involves recharging with short pulses. The duration of this mode can calculated as follows: it is necessary to divide the battery capacity by 2. Thus, the battery with 60 Ah must charge in desulfation mode for 30 hours. At the end of this time, you must disconnect the charger from the battery and from the network.
