Hertz DCX 100.3 — 2-way coaxial acoustics, size — 10 cm
Small-sized 10-cm 2-way speakers for installation in the appropriate regular places of cars. For ease of installation, the mounting holes are located on the protruding lugs, and the center post of the RF link has a minimum height. As part of its size, the speakers have excellent sensitivity for loud sound, even with low-power head units. They are also among the best-available low-frequency range among 10-cm models, but still require bass support from larger ones — most often rear speakers —.
Construction with cellulose LF/MF cone with protective and damping impregnation, wear-resistant and resonance-free suspension made from flexible thermopolyurethane (TPU), as well as a 15-mm RF dome made of heat-resistant polyetherimide (PEI) with a full diffusion disc subordinated to achieving the best sound quality at a moderate cost. Dieci's speakers over the past three generations stand out sharply in their class with a clean, expressive and rich sound in all registers, demonstrating "family affiliation" to the higher Hertz series. Thanks to a careful selection of materials, high performance is maintained over a long service life, incl. in harsh climates. Protection against possible external damage was also enhanced: the magnet is covered with a protective rubber cap, and the basket has a particularly resistant coating.
