How to raise the density?

The way to solve this problem depends on what values you get.

Density 1.18-1.20 kg/liter

With a pear, we pump out the old electrolyte: as much as possible. Fill the new one in half of the volume that you pumped out. Conventionally, for example: pumped 1 kg., Pour 0.5 kg. Here we need to achieve the norm of the density of the electrolyte, and the rest is topped up with distilled water.

Density less than 1.18 kg/liter

In this case, you need to use battery acid. We do everything the same way as in the first case, but it is likely that the procedure will have to be repeated. Your main task remains the same-to get the value of the norm.

Density is very low

Unfortunately, there will have to change the electrolyte completely to save the battery. With the help of a pear, you will need to pump out the old electrolyte as much as possible, and close the jars with plugs. And further adhere to this plan:

After tightening the plugs, put the battery on its side. Take a drill 3 mm. or 3.5 mm. and make one hole at the bottom of the jar. So, we can drain the electrolyte completely.
Flush all jars with distilled water. Holes closed with acid-resistant plastic. So, we did everything necessary to prepare the tank for a new electrolyte.
Prepare the electrolyte yourself. Take distilled water and pour battery acid into it. Please note that the reverse order is not allowed, that is, water can not be poured into the acid. Remember to wear rubber gloves.
