The Interior Ministry decided to return the speed control meters purchased 9 years ago
On September 28, the patrol service starts receiving TruCAM radar with a laser, fixing traffic violations, in particular, exceeding speed limits.
The planned receipt of radars confirmed by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, namely, its director A. Shevchenko. For his words, the speed meters were already there, but they not received. Therefore, the arrival of these devices planned; the process of their re-certification is fully completed.
After the approval of the head of the ministry's department, their re-certification already carried out, and most importantly – to start monitoring excess speed. However, these devices are limited in number, which complicates the presence of radar in all employees of the patrol service.
The representative of the Ministry indicated that the patrols would start using these devices in the near future. However, simultaneously with this statement, A. Shevchenko reported that more information about this you could found in the message of the Department of Patrol Police of the NCU on 28 September.
TruCAM is a radar for speed limits with a laser that has a "video fixing" mode. Back in 2009, the Ministry of Internal Affairs began the process of purchasing these radars.
The main difference between the TruCAM radar is the presence of a laser beam, which fixes the excess of the speed limits of an individual vehicle in the flow of others at a distance of 1 km or more. The information about the time and date, as well as the coordinates of the radar, provided by the equipped GPS. These data automatically displayed on the device panel. The radar begins to record an elevation from 1,200 m.
Working in auto mode (using a tripod or box), the meter detects a violation of the photo from a distance of 70 meters. In this case, the time, date, location of the machine and the excess values also indicated. The maximum of saved photos on one memory card is 40 000, video – 16 000.
When operating autonomously, using a battery, the radar operates for up to 15 hours. The information on offenses is preserved; it protected against liquidation or modification, since in the case of breakage and the memory card is sealed. In addition, certain protocol procedures carried out, which are associated with the saving and use of strict media reporting cards.
