The Blue Smart IP22 Charger series from Victron Energy is a modern, high-performance charger for professional use. Among the main advantages of these units is to provide power, a high level of protection, the ability to work with batteries of different types of construction: lead-acid, AGM, gel, EFB and lithium-ion.
These chargers are very simple and easy to use, thanks to the integrated Bluetooth module, you can monitor all workflows from a mobile device. The company also offers the VictronConnect special mobile application. With it, it is possible to remotely adjust the settings of the device if necessary.
6-step charge algorithm
Chargers in this series are equipped with a built-in microprocessor that allows intelligent control of all work processes. The device can automatically adjust the operating voltage and amperage, choosing the optimal indicator taking into account the technical condition of the charged car battery. The design has an additional built-in temperature sensor.

Charge/test
Here the device determines the actual technical condition and the ability of the starter battery to take charge.
Filling
Charging mode using maximum charge current. It will not complete until the battery reaches the absorption voltage (recovery level around 80%).
Absorption
At this stage, the voltage is stabilized, the indicator of which is fixed, while the level of charging current gradually begins to fall. This method allows the power source to return 100% of its nominal capacity.
Restore
Used for sulphated or highly discharged batteries. The process involves the supply of a small amount of current to the battery, which allows it to gradually return to its normal operating state. As soon as the voltage at the terminals of the recoverable battery reaches the nominal value, the charger automatically switches to the standard charging mode.
Floating
This mode is used to maintain the battery after the completion of the entire recovery cycle in a charged state. The charger enters this mode automatically.
Storage
When storing, in order to keep the battery charged and to prevent excessive gassing, the device constantly supplies a reduced voltage to the battery. However, once every 7 days, the device automatically switches on the absorption mode for an hour.
Recharge lithium-ion battery
In order to fully restore the batteries of this design, it is necessary to carry out a charging cycle, which includes three successive stages: filling — absorption — floating. In this case, the battery will restore capacity without serious problems for its service life and operating parameters.
Recovering Dead Batteries
This mode allows you to extend the life of car batteries, which during operation were subjected to deep discharges or sulphation. The supply of small currents leads to the destruction of oxide deposits on lead plates, returning the battery to 100% capacity. The duration of the process depends on the degree of sulfation of the power source.
