GRAND CANYON Utah Sleeping Bag Testing

We tested the GRAND CANYON Utah sleeping bag and want to share the results. A highlight after camping in Sweden in early autumn: the comfort range of +2°C proved to be generous, as at around 4°C we felt we had reached the limit of the sleeping bag's capabilities. Therefore, we would set the comfort range at +6°C, i.e. 4 degrees warmer. The following nights showed that these 4 degrees matter a lot. At an outside temperature of around 7°C, the sleeping bag was very comfortable, which confirms its ability to provide comfort in such conditions.

The sleeping bag is very well made and provides comfortable protection against sudden cold or wind thanks to the adjustable main section. We had a comparison model of a blanket sleeping bag with us, but it was not suitable for this temperature range.

The great freedom and mobility of the sleeping bag turned out to be very pleasant. Thanks to its large size, the GRAND CANYON Utah is ideal as a versatile option, as it can be used as a blanket while retaining all the advantages of a sleeping bag.

A generous quilt cut makes the sleeping bag a comfortable companion, but also increases its size when folded. This is not a problem for car camping, but less convenient for trekking trips.

In our opinion, Utah is a very comfortable and high-quality sleeping bag that is ideal for all temperature ranges above +6°C. With an available extra length of 205 cm, it also provides a comfortable sleep and good freedom of movement for tall people. We give this sleeping bag a general recommendation.
