Hertz ECX 690.5 — Powerful and bass 3-way oval speakers of 6x9 inches (~ 165x237 mm) for installation in the rear shelf. ECX 690.5 is able to exceed the highest expectations in its class, having a rich, full-blooded, dynamic and at the same time expressive and delicate in the transfer of fine details sound. The large area of ??the diffuser and design features bring an impressive depth and completeness of the lower register, along with an outstanding sensitivity of 95 dB/2.83 V/m, and an excellent power margin of 100/300 W (long/peak).

The design reflects the further improvement of the Energy series technologies, which brought the previous generations of fame and steady reputation as a leader in sound quality in its class. LF/MF diffuser is made of cellulose with a protective impregnation and is equipped with embossed stiffeners. One of the tweeters is equipped with a 40 mm polyetherimide dome (PEI) with a diffractive diffuser disc for widening the radiation angle. At the highest frequencies, it is assisted by a second tweeter, with a 15-mm dome. The materials used and the design give the speakers high reliability for long-term operation. In particular, the back is covered with a rubber cap, and the basket is protected by a coating that is particularly resistant to scratches and corrosion.
